Microsoft knows you want to see Xbox Series X games, and it’ll soon deliver

Microsoft is getting ready to reveal Xbox Series X games.

Despite the exciting hardware upgrades Xbox Series X will bring to console gaming, we’ve learned very little about how games plan to utilise that power.

Microsoft has been regularly revealing new details about the hardware, but the same cannot be said for the games that will run on it. In a reply to a fan on Twitter, head of Xbox Phil Spencer acknowledged the desire for people to see next-gen games, and confirmed that fans won’t have to wait too much longer.

“Reviewed plans yesterday for continued sharing through launch. Team is doing great work and adapting,” Spencer told a Twitter follower. “I’ve never been more excited about Xbox plans.”

“We’ve heard you, you want transparency/authenticity. We plan to keep showing that way, next step is not too much of a wait (games),” he added.

This obviously doesn’t tell us when we can expect these reveals, but we’re getting close, at least. It was recently reported that Microsoft could be hosting a May event to show off games, and reveal the long-rumoured Xbox Lockhart.

Indeed, reports around the industry indicate that the cancellation of E3 will enable some publishers to show their hand ahead of the usual June spot. Some of these reveals could very well be made as part of platform holder events from Microsoft and Sony.
