Saints Row The Third Remastered locked to 30fps on consoles, even on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X

The Saints Row The Third remaster will only push the visual fidelity on consoles, not the framerate.

As with most console games, Saints Row The Third Remastered will be locked to 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One. Not only that, but the more powerful consoles - PS4 Pro and Xbox One X - won't be getting any modes that favour framerate.

This fact was revealed in an IGN video, which also confirmed that the PC version thankfully won't suffer from the same limitation, allowing PC players to push visuals and framerate, so long as they have the hardware for it.

The remaster does, however, bring a few welcome upgrades to the game's overall graphics. The reveal trailer showcased improved lighting, visual effects, and entirely rebuilt vehicle and weapon models. So there's plenty to look forward to next month.

Saints Row The Third Remastered launches May 22 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
