Watch Modern Warfare 2's infamous No Russian gameplay from the new remaster

Clips from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's No Russian level have appeared online, showing the upgrades made to the level in the remastered campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered released early in Germany, and players have been posting looks at the updated campaign online. In the clips below, you can see some of the upgrades made to the campaign, in this case, the No Russian level.

More detail has been added to the level, and the airport features new elements (via VGC).

The No Russian level was rather controversial when the game was released in 2009. In it, players controlled CIA agent Joseph Allen who participates in a mass shooting at a Moscow airport while involved in an undercover mission with a Russian terrorist group.

In the level, the player is not forced to shoot any civilians, and the level can be bypassed if the player chooses - without any progress penalization as it is an optional level. In the German release, if you shoot civilians  you will fail the level.

Before playing the level, a warning was shown stating that it contained "disturbing content which may offend some players".

The official page for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered went up early on the German PlayStation Store yesterday and it is expected to be released today.
