Epic Games will publish new games from Remedy, Playdead and GenDesign

Epic Games has started a new publishing label that's already signed on three top creators.

Epic Games announced today that it's getting into game publishing in a major way. Under the Epic Games Publishing label, the company promises a "developer-first" approach.

Epic already inked deals with Alan Wake and Control developer Remedy, Inside makers Playdead, and The Last Guardian's Gen Design. This new partnership will see Epic publish these studios' games on multiple platforms.

Developers will retain ownership of their intellectual property, as well as full creative control. Epic will fund all development costs and other expenses such as marketing and publishing. Once development costs have been recouped, all profits will be split 50/50 with game makers.

Epic says these terms are the most developer-friendly in the industry, promising to announce more partnerships in the coming months.
