You're going to want this Final Fantasy 7 Remake art book and poster collection

Square Enix has announced that it will be making a hardcover compendium and poster collection to tie-in with the release of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

The first – titled the Final Fantasy 7 Remake: World Preview – is a 128-page hardcover art book that includes loads of information on the universe of the upcoming game. The blurb on the official Square Enix store perhaps describes it best:

“This World Preview volume offers both new players and longtime fans essential information on characters, settings, gameplay, and more, as well as introductory comments from producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Tetsuya Nomura.”

Apart from some cover art (that isn’t even final), we’ve got no idea what this book will even look like for now. However, Square Enix does promise that it will be “a full-color, lavishly illustrated introduction to the world of Final Fantasy 7 Remake”. Sounds just lovely, thanks!

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake: World Preview is due for release on 8th September for $24.99. It’s available to order now from Amazon US and the Square Enix Store. A digital version will also be released for $16.99 on Kindle.

On top of that, Square Enix also revealed that a Final Fantasy 7 Poster Collection will be available from 17th November. Rather than just focusing on the upcoming remake, though, this book will feature a compilation of 22 “large-format, full-color art prints” that draw from across the entire world of Final Fantasy 7.

That means, you’ll see images from the original Final Fantasy 7, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus (lol), Crisis Core, and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. According to the Square Enix website, the posters will be 11” x 14” in size.

Similarly, the Final Fantasy 7 Poster Collection is available to order right now at Amazon US and the Square Enix Store for $24.99.

Quite a long wait for both of them, then, but going by how quickly Final Fantasy collector’s items usually sell out you might want to secure yours as soon as possible. At least it'll give you something to look forward to after finishing all the brand new content in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
