Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer matches not awarding any XP, Infinity Ward investigating

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has run into a bit of an unusual problem.

Over the past few hours, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have been reporting a big problem: not earning any XP after finishing matches in multiplayer.

Developer Infinity Ward acknowledged the problem relatively quickly in a Tweet, but has yet to fix it. After posting the first Tweet, the developer later followed it up with another revealing that the team continues to work on a solution.

This isn't exactly a common problem, so it's not clear what could be causing it. The imminent launch of Modern Warfare battle royale, rumoured to kick off tomorrow, could have something to do with it.

Until then, it's best to take a break from multiplayer until the issue has been resolved.
