See two of Phoenix's abilities in Valorant in new footage
Phoenix is Valorant's British fire-weaving hero.
You've probably already seen Phoenix on Valorant's striking art. He's the black character, and possibly even the game's most recognisable hero right now.
Phoenix is one of eight confirmed characters so far, and Riot Games offered a brief look at some of his abilities in a new video. All characters in Valorant can use any of the game's weapons, but their abilities are what makes them unique.
Phoenix's offensive ability is a fire-flavoured flashbang. In the footage, you see him curve it around a corner and instantly round it to finish off the victim.
The defensive ability is wall of fire that causes damage to enemies and also appears to cut off a line of sight. There are two other abilities seen in the bar at the bottom, but strangely, they're not shown in the video.

In other Valorant news, the free-to-play shooter will feature a Battle Pass and paid-for cosmetics, but no loot boxes. A beta is coming soon, with launch expected in the summer.
