Greninja wins Pokemon of the Year, Zarude revealed as new Mythical for Pokemon Sword and Shield
Pokemon Day revealed a new Mythical Pokemon for Pokemon Sword and Shield and the results of the Pokemon Google poll are in.
Pokemon Day 2020 was February 27, and as promised, The Pokemon Company and Nintendo revealed the new Mythical creature for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
It's the rogue monkey Pokemon Zarude which likes to swing around using trees and branches when battling. Zarude is a Dark/Grass-type Pokemon and uses the ability Leaf Guard where it grows vines from the back of its neck, wrists, and feet. These can be used to slap an opponent as seen in the video.
Alternatively, the vines also allow the creature to grab Berries, and if the Pokemon wraps the vines around itself, they will heal battle wounds.

As part of Pokemon Day 2020, the results of the Pokemon Google Poll are in, and the big winner was ninja Pokemon Greninja.
The Pokemon is a Water/Dark-type which was introduced with Generation 6. It evolves from Frogadier and is the final form of starter Pokemon Froakie.
The poll covered Pokemon from all regions released over the years and all evolutionary forms and Legendaries as well.
