Digital card game Fable Fortune to be taken offline in March

Servers for Fable Fortune, the digital card game from Lionhead veterans, will be shut down in March.

After over two years and 30 seasons, Fable Fortune will be pulled offline on March 4, according to the developers.

To prepare for the closure, the in-game store has been disabled, which means you can no longer purchase card packs. If you have any outstanding card packs sitting in your inventory, these can be opened until the game closes down (thanks, Gamasutra).

The Fable-based card game launched for PC and Xbox One in 2018. It was realized at Lionhead Studios, but after the studio was shuttered in 2016, Flaming Fowl Studios took over the project.

Following the handover, the game was put on Kickstarter to cover development costs but was pulled after the studio received outside funding.

It then went into Early Access on Steam before it was released in 2018.
