Wizards of The Coast studio led by former Bioware devs is making a sci-fi RPG

Archetype Entertainment, an autonomous division of Wizards of the Coast and made up of former Bioware developers, is creating a sci-fi RPG.

Last year, Wizards of the Coast put former Bioware developer James Ohlen in charge of Archetype Entertainment, which is developing a multiplatform sci-fi RPG.

Archetype Entertainment is an Austin-based studio founded in 2019. Bioware's former head of live services, Chad Robertson, is the general manager. Former BioWare writer Drew Karpyshyn will work as lead writer.

Ohlen worked at Bioware for 22 years and had a hand in titles such as Dragon Age: Origins, Neverwinter Nights, and KOTOR. He retired from the company in 2018.

Robertson, who left the company in October 2019,  was with Bioware for 14 years and worked on SWTOR and Anthem among others.

Karpyshyn left BioWare in 2018 to work as a freelancer. His credits at Bioware include Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect 2 among others.

Additional information on the in-development game is not provided on the official website. The company is currently looking to fill various positions.
