Apex Legends Season 4 Legend may be Revenant after all
Today's Apex Legends story trailer introduces Forge, then murders him.
Respawn has dropped a new episode of Apex Legends' Stories from the Outlands, a series of videos dedicated to revealing the origin stories of the game's Legends.
The latest episode, Up Close and Personal, is unsurprisingly about Jimmie “Forge” McCormick, the Legend supposedly coming to the game with Season 4. The episode ends with a twist, however, and our first proper look at the Legend we've been referring to as Revenant.
Forge is being hunted by Revenant, who is revealed to be an assassin. Revenant actually catches up to Forge in the trailer, stabbing him in the back and - presumably - killing him.
The running theory is that Forge was never actually the real Legend coming with Season 4. His portrait on the official Season 4 landing page is greyed out, with a message that reads, "Never defeated (except for that one time)."
Respawn has yet to follow that up with confirmation about which of the two will end up being the season's playable Legend. Season 4 kicks off February 4, so we'll find out soon enough.
