Hunt: Showdown coming to PS4 next month, cross-play and other updates planned

Crytek has announced a release date for Hunt: Showdown on PS4 as well as additional content plans.

Hunt: Showdown will be released on PS4 February 18, and cross-play is in the works for the console versions.

Ahead of cross-play, you can expect update 1.2 to bring random teams of three, an advanced tutorial, new Legendary Hunters, and new equipment and weapons. Expect server-side performance improvements, client CPU performance fixes, and a number of other general bug fixes to be included in the update.

Other content plans in the works include solo PvE mode, live-events, outfit customization, and a new boss.

The game was released on PC after an early access period back in August. It was then released on Xbox One the following month.

If you have never played the game, it is a competitive first-person bounty hunting title set in Louisiana in 1895. It features a mixture of PvP and PvE elements where you are hunted not just by monsters, but other players as well.
