Arma 3 is free to play on Steam until January 19 and it's also on sale

If you've yet to dip your toes into Arma 3, now's your chance to do it for free.

Arma 3 is free for the rest of the week through Steam. You have until January 19 to download and play it.

During the Free Week, you will have access to the base game plus the Apex expansion. This also includes The East Wind single-player campaign and the Apex Protocol co-op campaign. You can also give the Prologue tutorial campaign a whirl.

Should you decide to continue playing after the free weekend, you can enjoy a 70% discount on the base game, and save up to 66% on DLC packs and expansions until January 20.

When purchasing the Ultimate Edition, you can take 65% off. You will also be able to carry over all save games and Steam Achievements should you decide to purchase the game.

Besides the official game content, there’s also plenty of free community-made content, including the 70,000+ items shared on the Arma 3 Steam Workshop.

The game was first released in 2013 and has sold more than 5 million games to date. Over the years, it has been reinforced by 80 platform updates, as well as 10 DLC packs, and two expansions.
