Final Fantasy 7 Remake delayed to April

Final Fantasy 7 Remake has had its release date pushed back by a little over a month.

Square Enix has just announced that Final Fantasy 7 Remake's release date has been moved from March 3 to April 10 worldwide on PS4.

"We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on," said producer Yoshinori Kitase, who apologised for the delay.

"In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10."

As you might imagine, these precious few weeks will be spent polishing up the game. Today's press release makes no mention of the recently leaked demo, which has yet to be officially announced.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will only be available on PS4 at launch. It will arrive on other platforms one year after that.
