Destiny 2: Season of Dawn - How to complete Recovering the Past and get Saint-14's Perfect Paradox shotgun

The Season of Dawn is well underway and Osiris has a bunch of new quests for you to complete.

After you've completed your first Sundial run, you'll be able to pick up a quest called Recovering the Past. Afterwards, you'll be awarded Saint-14's favourite weapon, the Perfect Paradox shotgun.

Before we get started, it would be a good idea to take out the best shotgun in your collection and a decent crowd control weapon. You'll also need to decide later on whether you want to play a few Strikes or jump into Gambit or Crucible matches, so grab a few friends and make a Fireteam.

How to complete Recovering the Past and get the Perfect Paradox shotgun

The first step of this quest is called Field Research. You'll need to collect energy pattern by defeating three bosses anywhere in the system. the quickest way to complete this step is by doing Sundial runs or Strikes, as bosses from Lost Sectors don't count.

Next, it's on to Vex Data Collection. You'll need to get 100 shotgun kills and 25 melee kills for this part, but any kind of enemy will do. I completed a few public events on the Tangled Shore then upgraded my Obelisk Resonance Rank afterwards for easiness.

The last step is called Finishing Touches. You'll need to complete one Pyramidion run then collect five weapon enhancers. The Pyramidion can be found on Io and you can complete the weapon enhancer step by taking part in Strikes or Gambit and Crucible matches.

After that, head back to see Osiris on Mercury who'll give you Saint-14's Perfect Paradox shotgun. Keep it safe so you can hand it back to him next week, would you?
