Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order expected to ship 6-8 million before the end of the fiscal year

EA has shared its sales expectations for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

EA published the Q2 results of its FY2020, and gave an update on the health of its Star Wars games.

The upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, due out in November, is projected to ship between 6 and 8 million before FY2020 is over, meaning before the end of March 2020.

In a call to investors following the earnings reveal, EA also said that both Star Wars Battlefront games have sold over 33 million units combined. Interestingly, the publisher didn't specifically say if DICE is working on a Star Wars game for next year, having now confirmed it's also not putting out a Battlefield game next year.

In terms of future Star Wars releases, CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed that the publisher is working on "Star Wars stuff" that "might" drop in FY2022 or before, but wouldn't elaborate on what that could be.

In other Fallen Order news, the game will be EA's first in years to launch on Steam alongside Origin, now that EA is gradually going back to Valve's storefront. It launches November 15.
