The next expansion for The Sims 4 has leaked on the Microsoft Store, and it looks like you’ll be able to have your Sims experience the crushing lows and eventual highs of higher education.
The storepage for The Sims 4: Discover University was spotted and shared by ‘CapturetheCosmo’ on Twitter. It reveals a December 17 release date for the pack (on consoles, at least – expect the PC release to be earlier), which will involve a school, learning, and experiencing “co-curricular activities” (and, hopefully, some good parties that you’ll look back on fondly).

According to the page description, you can “take classes that set your Sims up for success in engineering, education, or law careers,” which may or may not be intended as commentary on the narrowing scope of educational institutes over time (as someone who recently got out of academia after being strung along for years by dodgy short-term contracts, I can’t help but bring some baggage with me to a game like this).
Your Sims will be able to start careers (and presumably build up enormous debt) at either Britechester or the Foxbury Institute, where they can explore campus, sleep in and miss class, explore their interests, and, apparently, major in villainy (which, if the game is realistic, will likely be a mandate from a corrupt vice chancellor).
(Sidenote: university can actually be a wonderful experience, and most of the teachers I’ve met are extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Just make sure you know why you’re there, and if you’re hating it, maybe have a think about whether what you’re doing is right for you. This advice probably won’t apply to The Sims: Discover University, though.)
The latest Sims 4 expansion let you dabble in magic, but this one sounds a bit more grounded. Just make sure that it doesn’t distract you from any assignments you might have due.
