Apex Legends Fight or Fright trailer brings another Revenant tease, shows how Shadowfall works

Apex Legends' Fight or Fright Halloween event kicks off today, and Respawn dropped a new trailer.

Today's trailer is our first proper look at Shadowfall, the new limited-time mode available in Apex Legends' Fight or Fright event. Setting aside the new skins, Shadowfall is the real meat of the event.

Shadowfall is a 35-player solos mode played on a nighttime version of the Kings Canyon map. The twist is that when you die, you get to come back as a zombie whose job is to hunt down the remaining players. When ten players or less are alive, everyone must now band together to fight off the zombies and get to an evac ship.

The trailer also gives us a new look at what fans believe is the game's next Legend, Revenant. He's apparently the host of the event in the game's fiction. This is the second time Revenant was shown off officially, after he popped up in the background of a designer's showcase.

The name Revenant itself isn't new, as those who keep up with the game's datamining community will know. This could indicate that the hero is closer to release than we think, assuming, of course, he's arriving during Season 3.
