Rainbow Six Siege developers have talked about adding a K-9 unit, but there's one major problem

Will a K-9 unit ever come to Rainbow Six Siege? There's been talk, but there's a major hurdle to overcome.

Wired has posted a video with Ubisoft Montreal's Alexander Karpazis, in which he answers questions from fans about the game. It's a fun video, and has some useful information, but there's one, to our mind, really important piece of information in here - whether or not the team has considered adding a K-9 unit with an attack dog.

Karpazis addresses a few other questions too - there are currently no plans to introduce dual-pistols, for instance (because they'd be very difficult to implement properly), and the Area 51 map "was cancelled," apparently. The K-9 question is the last one in the video, coming in at 9:25.

"This is something we've talked about for a while", he says. "But to answer your question, I have to ask you a question: are you okay with shooting a dog?"

The comment section is quick to point out that they've shot a ton of dogs in Call of Duty already, and would be happy to do so in Rainbow Six Siege as well. But we're here to suggest an alternative: robot dogs.

Rainbow Six Siege is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4. There are no dogs in it.
