Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer shows new gameplay and the slums of Midgar

This new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer out of TGS 2019 shows new gameplay and a deeper look at the slums of Midgar.

This is where the Shinra Electric Power Company and Avalanche, a resistance group, are butting heads in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

The video shows Shinra operatives, The Turks, along with a variety of mini-games and the Shiva and Ifrit summons.

Coming to the PlayStation 4 on March 3, the game is a reimagining of the original that takes a deeper dive into the world and its characters.

The first game in the project will be set in Midgar and releases as a fully standalone experience. It is available for pre-order.

All episodes of of the remake will be large in size, or comparable to a standalone Final Fantasy title, and the first drop will take up space on  two Blu-Ray discs. Square Enix is uncertain how many episodes the story will span, which means we're not sure as of press time when the second release will drop.
