Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - how to unlock the Raider Ride in Hoarfrost Reach

There are all sorts of new items and monsters to find in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, so let's take a look at how to unlock the Raider Ride in Hoarfrost Reach.

You can use Raider Rides in other regions straight away, but you need to jump through some extra hoops to use it in this new area.

To get started, you must first befriend all the Grimalkyne Tribes and collect Palico Gadgets - like the Plunderblade - then find the Boaboa and complete a special quest for them.

The aim here is to unlock a new Palico Gadget called the Tailraider Signal. Speak with Seliana, she'll direct you to the Lynian Researcher, who'll tell you that the Boaboa will only respect you if you slay a large Monster in front of them.

Alternatively, if you keep pressing on with other quests and activities, your Palico will alert you to this fact and you can begin the quest.

If you head north from the camp, you'll see some Boaboa Scouts following you. Hunt a large monster in front of them and more scouts will show up to give you a hand. After the monster is defeated, head to the southern camp in Hoarfrost Reach. They'll ask you to follow them to the Hot Springs, and from there you'll jump on to the Wingdrake and fly to their camp location.

You'll then be given the quest from their leader to hunt a Beotodus called By Our Powers Combined. You'll need to be Master Rank 3 or above and if you faint three times, you'll fail the quest. The first time you complete this quest you must do it solo, though Boaboa hunters will join you.

You need to throw rocks at a Popo first who'll then lead you to a location where you'll find the Beotodus.

Completing this quest will unlock the Tailraider Signal Palico Gadget. This gadget lets you place a smoke signal to call for Grimalkyne helpers and Tailraiders to join your party. You'll also get the ability to call for the Raider Ride in Hoarfrost Reach.
