Control - how to get into Black Rock Processing

It can be a little confusing to navigate Control’s Oldest House, a shifting, labyrinthine skyscraper with multiple floors and impossible geometry.

One game objective in particular can be a little confusing: getting into Black Rock Processing. On the map, it appears that you can come at it from two sides. However, one way is blocked by a locked door after heading up an elevator, and another is blocked by an impassable chasm.

If you’ve seen pre-release footage of Control, you’re probably thinking you need to head off to find the power that allows you to float across gaps. However, you’d be wrong.

Head through the door to Black Rock Processing, deal with the goons inside the security room, and instead of going through the door with the chasm, head into the Turbine Room.

Here there’s a mechanism with spinning blades. Pick up the nearby power block and fling it into the empty slot opposite, then pull out the power block to your left to stop the blades, and carry it upstairs with you. Use that block to fill up the missing power block up here, then pull out the turbine power block to safely cross over.

Pull on the light switch at the top three times to be transported to another place, from which you’ll be able to bring down a bridge over the chasm.
