Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is one of several big games showing off ray tracing support this week at gamescom.
To kick things off, Nvidia and Paradox unveiled a first look at how RTX tech is being utilised in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
The game will make use of ray tracing for real-time reflections, similar to Battlefield 5.
As you’re about to see in the video and screenshots below, all surfaces capable of reflecting light exhibit greater detail. This is clearly visible in window glass, which reflects surroundings surfaces and is transparent enough that you can see through.
These reflections also take into account object material for a more accurate representation of real-world objects in the scene. Bloodlines 2 is also implementing support for DLSS, the AI-powered anti-aliasing solution available to Nvidia RTX owners.
It is not clear, however, if either of the two features will be available at launch.
