New Pokémon Sword and Shield info dropping this week

The Pokémon Company revealed on Twitter today that it will drop new Pokémon Sword and Shield information in a Galar Research Update this week.

The announcement is planned for August 7 at 6 a.m. PDT, but it's unclear what the focus will be. We've already learned about Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, seen a bunch of new Pokémon (including the legendaries Zacian and Zamazenta), and discovered that not all Pokémon will be available in the game.

Perhaps we'll get to learn about the game's villains and story. Or maybe we'll learn more about the game's multiplayer features beyond trading and Max Raid battles.
