Teamfight Tactics: item combination cheat sheet

Teamfight Tactics, Riot Games' new autobattler, comes with some pretty powerful top-tier items, though you'll need to combine all manner of ingredients to get the best ones.

As distracting as the Little Legends are - I'm looking at you, Furyhorn - the real MVPs of Teamfight Tactics are the new items you can create. You can pick up new items from random drops from Creep waves, and Champions in the Carousel come pre-quipped with several items.

In this guide, we'll be looking at how to equip items in order to combine them and what combinations you'll need to get each new items. Many thanks to Scarra's TFT Cheat Sheet for this concise list.

Teamfight Tactics: item combination cheat sheet

How to combine items

Before we dive into what combinations are available, it would be a good idea to get to grips with how to combine items. Any items that are dropped will be placed in your inventory, which you can see on the bottom left of your screen.

Once you've chosen your Champion, you can drag and drop these items into the gold cubes to equip them. You must first equip the Base Item, then add the next ingredient to make a combo. If you've done it correctly, you'll get a little preview that will show you what Final Item can be created.

If you're happy with the combined result, drop the other item onto your Champion. Congratulations! You just forged a new item.

As you progress, you'll be able to create up to six completed items, and you can equip three completed items at any given time. A word of warning: if you combine two items, there's no way to separate them to get the individual ingredients back, so choose wisely.

Rather than stick with the same Champion, you can use the Champions in the Carousel to get new items. You can stick their item in your inventory and refund the Champion. It would also be wise to equip items that suit a Champion's playstyle. For example, equipping items that deal greater Spell Damage on AP Champions. It's all about the synergy, after all.

Items list

There are eight items you can combine together to make new stuff. These are:

  • Needlessly Large Rod
  • Tears of the Goddess
  • Recurve Bow
  • Giant's Belt
  • Spatula
  • Negatron Cloak
  • B.F. Sword
  • Chain Vest

You can combine two of the same items together to create a Final Item, and each item has its own perk. We'll take a look at each of the Base Items alongside all the possible combinations with the rest.

It's also worth noting that you'll see some repeats in this list, as some items are interchangeable when it comes to the Base Item - you'll get the same item regardless of what order you combine them in.
