Starcraft pro and commentator Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson dies aged 33

Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson, the popular Starcraft commentator, has passed away.

Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson started life as a Starcraft pro, playing for team Evil Geniuses, before later moving on to esports commentary. He's mostly been associated with Starcraft, as anyone who watched esports coverage of Blizzard's strategy game will know.

The official Twitter account for Robinson announced his sudden passing today in a statement, though did not reveal the cause of death. The statement confirmed he passed away on Saturday. Robinson was only 33 years-old.

"We ask privacy as his family works to understand what happened and make arrangements," the statement reads. Those willing to offer support are asked to donate to the Southern California Bulldog Rescue, a dog rescue charity Robinson supported.

There's no centralised Twitter hashtag as of yet, but many are remembering Robinson as an important member of the game's community.
