Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiple endings

There's more than one way that Cyberpunk 2077 can end.

In a great twenty-odd minute interview with quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz - as noticed by Gamespot - there's some talk about the game's ending. Early on Tomaszkiewicz says that content will not be locked depending on which character you play as, but to see everything you'll likely need to play more than once.

At the 15 minute mark of the video below, interviewer YongYea asks very straight: are there multiple endings? And he receives a very straightforward answer: "yes, there are".

The pair breezes right on past that answer, so it's not clear exactly how many endings there are - but, again, it sounds like you'll be encouraged to play through the game more than once.

Elsewhere, Tomaszkiewicz says that the team is "still thinking on" whether or not the game will have a 'new game plus' mode, and is cagey on whether or not the game will feature a photo mode. It's worth watching the full video if you're keen for more information about Cyberpunk 2077, or if you just want to hear the two talking about Keanu Reeves at the start.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out April 16, 2020 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
