Watch Dogs Legion video recaps seven things you need to know

If you missed the Watch Dogs Legion presentation at Ubisoft's E3 conference on Monday, here's a quick recap.

Ubisoft gave us our first look at Watch Dogs Legion on June 10, and in this new video, Arekkz gives you a quick recap on what we learned about the game.

First off, as was previously rumored, it takes place in post-Brexit London. All of the key landmark locations are present, and for those who drive on the right side of the road in real-life, well, you'll be driving on the left in Watch Dogs Legion. Watch out for those roundabouts (honestly they aren't that bad - Steph).

One of the more interesting aspects of the game is the ability to play as or recruit anyone. As with the two previous entries, you will be able to profile different citizens. In Legion, once they have been added to your contacts list, you can slowly begin to recruit them. There are also three classes available: enforcer, infiltrator, and hacker. Each recruit will have their own specialty. Arekkz ran across the grandma figure, who had a +40% melee damage. So, see, anyone can come in handy depending upon your mission and their skillset.

Legion also introduces a permadeath mechanic. This means if the recruit you are playing dies, they are not coming back. Be careful with grandma, please. But there are new combat mechanics and abilities which should you master them, be rather helpful at keeping you alive. The new arsenal of weapons, both lethal and non-lethal, should help matters as well.

The game also seems to 'learn' how you go about your business. If you use melee more often, the NPCs in the game will respond to your choice. If you tend to draw your gun more often than not, people will become more hostile to you, generally speaking.

If safety in numbers is your philosophy, then four-player co-op will be right up your alley. Other players can be used in different ways. One can cause a distraction, while another sneaks in. Or you can go in guns blazing if you prefer to do a mission in that manner.

In both single-layer and co-op, you will have to contend with various factions doing their own thing. So, it's not just you, DedSec, running around London. There are different gangs, organized crime groups, the Futurists, and a private military company, and none seem too friendly.

It sounds like Watch Dogs Legion is going to be a very interesting take on the franchise. You'll be able to find out for yourself when the game releases for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One on March 6, 2020.
