Elder Scrolls Blades is coming to Switch

The latest Elder Scrolls game for mobile devices is coming to Switch later this year.

Elder Scrolls Blades is coming to Switch this fall (American autumn, so adjust for your region), letting you play the game on Nintendo's beloved console.

The announcement was made today during Bethesda's E3 conference.

The trailer shows it being played in handheld mode, and this coupled with the fact that it's not coming to other consoles suggests that it will require the use of the touch screen.

The trailer is embedded below, and shows off the game in action.

The mobile version is also getting a big update tonight, adding a new dragon quest line, which is something fans have been wanting. It should be available now, so look for an update if you're playing.

The arena mode, which will offer PVP play, is also due soon, although no specific date has been set.

All of these updates will be available in the Switch version when it releases, and you can continue on with your mobile save game on there - start the game today and you can keep playing with the same character on Switch when that version is available.

The Switch version will also be free-to-play. So soon the Switch will be the only machine with both Skyrim and Blades.
