Borderlands 3 Legendary weapons include a variant of that cute gun with legs

Had your fill of Borderlands 3-related goodness yet? We sure hope not, because we've got some additional gameplay for you.

Gearbox Software showed off the first look at Borderlands 3 gameplay today at an event in California, and Arekkz Gaming was there to capture some cool footage.

This video shows off one of the Legendary weapons which dropped from a boss included in a gameplay demo.

It's a Tediore weapon, a category which includes the cute gun with legs that was shown in the announcement trailer. Some Tediores feature thier own unique behavior, especially the Smart-Gun XXL given that it's legendary.

Variants of these guns can bounce around and act like grenades and some can split out into MIRV style rockets. It just depends, really. We prefer the one that runs around, but different options are always a good thing.

Checkout footage of the Smart-Gun XXL version below. This one in particular appears to be a rare drop, at least from what Arekkz gathered.

And as mentioned, not all Tediore weapons will behave the same. Some won't run around on legs, but some bounce around and do the other things noted above. One of the variants is what you see in the video.

Arekkz Gaming is also streaming one of the first looks at live gameplay. You can watch it here.

We'll have plenty of Borderlands 3 information for you posted throughout the day and the rest of the week, thanks to Kirk being at the reveal as well.

Borderlands 3 releases September 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
