Apex Legends update 1.1.1 shows Caustic and Gibraltar some love

Caustic and Gibraltar have received damage buffs thanks to Apex Legends update 1.1.1 .

Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends update 1.1.1 which reduces damage taken by Caustic and Gibraltar. The last update saw their hitboxes reduced along with Pathfinder's, but it apparently wasn't enough.

Starting with update 1.1.1, Gibraltar and Caustic will get a new perk added to their passive called Fortified. This reduces damage taken by 10%.

Respawn said over the next couple of weeks it will keep an eye on how they perform with this additional protection. If the characters are still underpowered relative to their size, it will make further adjustments.

A few quality of life kit adjustments were also made to the characters' marquee abilities.

Caustic

  • Fortified Passive Perk added: reduces damage taken by 10%
  • Gas Damage per tick increased: 1 -> 4
  • Ultimate Throw distance increased: 28 meters -> 33 meters

Gibralter

  • Fortified Passive Perk added: reduces damage taken by 10%
  • Gun Shield health increased: 50 -> 75

Alongside these changes, a round of weapon balancing was applied, a 50% speed increase was made to the Jump Ship, and a UI bug was fixed.

The team said it is working to fix ongoing audio issues, "slow mo" servers, hit registration, and more. An update on these issues will be provided at a later date.

There's also a Battle Pass XP event running between now and April 18. During this time, your first Top 5 of the day will grant you one full bonus Battle Pass Level (29,500 BPP), up to a max of level 110. This can be earned once per day.
