Destiny 2: Forsaken: Ascendant Challenge Week 2 Guide - Forfeit Shrine

It’s Week 2 in the Ascendant Challenge playlist in Destiny 2.

The Ascendant Challenge playlist is part of the ever-changing Dreaming City in Destiny 2: Forsaken. This challenge is pretty straightforward and can be completed either solo or as part of a fireteam.

Nip on over to see Petra Venj in the Dreaming City to pick up this challenge and make sure you've got some Tincture of Queensfoil to hand.

Destiny 2: Forsaken - Ascendant Challenge week two

The blurb for the challenge this week reads: “At the overlook’s edge, the garden grows onward.” What you need to do is head to The Dreaming City then head in the direction of Rheasilvia.

Upon exiting the cave, turn right and keep going until you reach an opening with a large tree in the centre. This is the garden. Once you’re in this area, turn to the left and up on the overlook’s edge is a portal.

You will need to use the Tincture of Queensfoil item to enter the portal, so consume that for your 30 minute buff and head through the portal.

You'll then arrive in the Forfeit Shrine. The focus in this section is on the three orbs and several powerful Knights.

In the centre, there is a space for you to deposit the orbs. Ideally, this should be completed as part of a fireteam, so you can take on an orb and a Knight each.

Walking through the black fields will slow you down, so try and avoid doing so. You also don’t appear to be shielded when dunking the orbs so be mindful of enemies around you.

There are a few Taken Phalanx enemies scattered as well as the Knights you must defeat. If you are less than Power level 520-530 this section could be rather difficult, even as part of a fireteam.

On the outskirts of the central platform are some trees. If you jump up on those, you’ll be safe from the Knights and any melee enemies, and it’s a good vantage point for sniper or scout rifles.

Once you’ve defeated all the Knights, a loot chest will spawn, and you’ll be able to hand the bounty in for even more powerful gear.
