Serious Sam: Tormental is a 3D rogue-lite top-down shooter that’s in Early Access on Steam right now.
This week, Croteam dropped a trailer for a new Serious Sam game that’s in Early Access on Steam. Serious Sam: Tormental is “fully playable and good enough to enjoy,” with Early Access being used to “make it bigger and better.”
The devs have promised “much more content” in the full release, as well as ongoing balance updates.
Serious Sam: Tormental will be in Early Access for around two to three months, to give Croteam enough time to add what it has “planned” but the studio points out that this is only an outline, that could change depending on how it hits it “internal milestones.”
Here’s what you can find in the version currently on Steam, courtesy of the game’s Store page:
- 3+ areas to explore
- 4+ boss fights to survive
- 3 playable characters to master
- 30+ weapons to shoot with
- 20+ upgrades to mix and match
You can pick it up for around £10 on Steam, but as more content is added, the price will increase, so if you’re a fan of the series, you should get in now, while it’s at its lowest price.
