Gearbox drops yet another teaser for a new project ahead of its PAX East panel

This is the fourth tweet from the publisher in the run up to PAX East that is teasing an unannounced game.

The tweet follows a number of others this week that have fans speculating that we'll see a Borderlands 3 reveal, a Borderlands 2 Switch release, and a possible DLC for We Happy Few.

The image in the tweet is an ampersands and so far, the majority of the community suspects that it could be a new Penn & Teller title, given that the image matches the Penn & Teller logo, as pointed out by Twitter user Chris Poirier and others.

Penn & Teller VR was announced as part of over 60 PS VR titles headed to the PS4, and included Gearbox's Desert Bus mini-game that was originally a part of Penn & Teller’s Smoke and Mirrors on the SEGA CD.

Gearbox's Desert Bus VR was made available on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in 2017.

The devs' responses in the Twitter thread have also had a somewhat magical theme, lending credence to the idea that it could be Penn & Teller-related. Check them out for yourself below:

Of course, this is all just wild speculation. A few other Twitter users have picked up on the use of an ampersand in Gearbox's Twitter bio that precedes "Brothers in Arms" and "We Happy Few," concluding that the tease is for a new Brothers in Arms game.

I'm sure Gearbox will continue to drop these nuggets on Twitter, but all will be revealed at its PAX East 2019 panel on March 28, from 2-3pm ET.
