Chris Avellone worked as narrative designer and writer on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Chris Avellone recently announced he worked as narrative designer on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Veteran game designer and writer Chris Avellone worked with Respawn on its upcoming Star Wars title Jedi: Fallen Order, which is set for release sometime this year.

News of his role was mentioned nonchalantly by Avellone himself on Twitter this weekend (thanks, Gamekyo).

According to Avellone, he worked as narrative designer and writer on Jedi: Fallen Order. This include story work, story and character reviews, and cinematic scripts.

That's a nice bit of news, honestly, as he's had a hand in some of the best RPGs to grace PCs and consoles.

His beefy resume features 23 years worth of RPG goodness such as Fallout 2 and New Vegas, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Alpha Protocol, Pillars of Eternity, Prey and so much more.

Plus, he's also written Star Wars Tales and Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures comics for Dark Horse.

Avellone's most recent narrative work includes Dying Light 2 and Nightdive Studios' System Shock remake.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is slated for release this fall, and we'll get our first look at it next month at the Star Wars Celebration.
