Monster Hunter film theatrical release date set for September 2020

The Monster Hunter film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson will arrive in theaters September 4,  2020.

Sony Pictures announced this week a theatrical release date for the Monster Hunter film in the works at Constantin Film.

Written, directed, and produced by Paul W.S. Anderson, the Monster Hunter film stars Milla Jovovich, Ron Perlman, Tony Jaa Diego Boneta, and T.I. are set to star in the film.

Here's the film's summary, courtesy of Deadline:

Behind our world, there is another — a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life.

In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, terrifying attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man (Tony Jaa) who has found a way to fight back.

Constantin Film will release the movie in German Speaking Territories, Tencent Pictures in China and Toho Film in Japan. Sony’s Screen Gems will release the film in the US. Sony Pictures International will handle distribution in the rest of the world.
