Fortnite's snow is starting to melt as Season 8 gets closer

The map is showing signs of green after weeks of white snow.

Winter has come, and it's already putting its coat on and heading towards the front door by the looks of things.

Fortnite's Ice Storm event covered the map with snow almost two weeks ago after the Ice King broke out of his sphere.

Now players are starting to see grassy areas returning at the edges of the map.

FBR News shared a screenshot with the telltale greenery in the northeast corner of the island.

This will come as good news to players who haven't been thrilled with the fog, or the Ice Legion, which were both removed from the game this yesterday.

As we head towards Season 8, players are speculating that an earthquake will herald the end of Season 7, and that the mysterious Prisoner skin could be tied to a volcano on the island.

There's only a few weeks of the current season left, so we'll find out soon enough.
