Destiny 2: Forsaken: Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle

The Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle is an Exotic loot drop Destiny 2: Forsaken, and for those looking for a fun weapon to cut through enemies, this may just be the exotic weapon for you.

In Destiny 2: Forsaken,  the Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle is obtained through a random drop. While there’s always an element of RNG to obtaining drops, this particular weapon can be earned from completing the weekly bounties in Gambit. It comes from one of the two Engram drops, and can also be obtained through packages.

The weapon goes in your Kinetic slot and is classified as an Auto Rifle. It packs a punch when used in PvE activities, and it also tears through other players in PvP.

On the surface, Cerberus+1 isn't much to look at, because it's basically a collection of four gun barrels strapped together. But what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for it in absolute carnage.

How the Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle handles

The first Exotic perk is Four-Headed Dog which, as the name suggests, is based on Cerberus from Greek mythology. We all know the beast sported three heads, not four, but that's where the +1 comes in.  This common, intrinsic perk shoots erratic bullets from all gun barrels at the same time.

Three of the four barrels feature different legendary perks. One is a Rifled Barrel which increases range, but on the flip side greatly decreases handling speed. Another is the Fluted Barrel which greatly increases handling speed and lightly increases stability. It also sports a Full Bore barrel optimized for shooting from a distance that greatly increases range, but decreases stability and handling speed.

Spread Shot Package is the Exotic Perk which reduces the spread of projectiles when aiming.

No tracker is displayed on this weapon, but it does feature a Kill Tracker which will keep a record of the number of enemies killed. It also tracks the number of Crucible opponents defeated.

Is the Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle worth using?

In a word: yes.

Cerberus+1 is an interesting and rather unique weapon. It's great fun when used in either PvE or the Crucible.

Given the spread nature of the shots, even when aiming down sights, players will still want to be a little closer to the target. Players naturally won't be landing crits on every single shot, so close proximity is key here.

A single bullet will still critical hit while the surrounding spread shots provide additional damage, as the shrapnel perk suggests. The spread of bullets coupled with firing 360 rounds per minute, Cerberus+1 is a great weapon to use when burning down trash mobs. It is also useful for taking down enemy shields given the constant barrage of bullets.

Crucible players using the Auto Rifle will find out how useful it is - quickly. In a similar vein to the exotic shotgun Lord of Wolves, Cerberus+1 will rip through opponents making it worth using.
