See the expanded scale in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2's new trailer

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2's bigger and more tactical space battles are showcased in a new video.

The first of two overview trailers, today's Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 footage shows how the sequel expands on the original's vision for massive-scale space battles featuring the 12 different races.

On top of looking more impressive, battles in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 take a tactical turn when you consider the different nuances each faction brings to the table. Unlike the original, all factions are available at the start for all players.

The trailer starts off by outlining how battles ensue at the basic level, and how each faction can kick things off differently depending on their fleets' strengths and weaknesses. These distinct play styles further manifest in the fleet upgrades and admiral choices you'll be able to make.

It looks a bit overwhelming, particularly with the expanded scale. This is likely why developer Tindalos is planning to host two beta tests over December, and January.

The betas are available to pre-order players, and the first of which takes place December 5 to December 12. Catch the video below, and check out the Steam page if you want to get involved.
