Just Cause 4’s Japanese marketing is like Teletubbies via Jackass

You know what I remember most about Just Cause 3? Attaching two grapples to a cow and slingshotting it into an enemy base with mines stuck to its arse. I called it my cattlepult.

Outside of bovine bombardment, there’s plenty of ways to express yourself in the Just Cause series. Just Cause 4 looks set to increase those opportunities, adding more grapples, more explosions, and unpredictable weather cycles into the mix.

The UK trailers for the game haven’t got much of that across yet, instead making it look like Michael Bay got a shot at the Metal Gear Solid license. Luckily, Japan is here to show Square Enix how it’s done.

Just Cause 4 is being marketed in Japan by a daredevil mascot throwing itself from platforms and onto crash mats while suspended from wires.

The video also simulates Just Cause 4’s weather effects by having the mascot run into an industrial fan as debris is thrown at its head. Have a watch:
