Anthem’s Javelin customisation options go far beyond what you typically get in action games.
BioWare hosted an Anthem livestream overnight that that was focused entirely on showing off customisation options in the game. Javelins, Anthem’s power suits, not only let you customise their colours, but you’re also able to do so for each limb individually.
And if that weren’t enough, Anthem players can also set a wear state, which controls how rugged or sleek the final design is. Within each limb, you’re able to choose from all colours, their different shades, texture, fabric, patterns, and more.
That’s not all, colour selection is also bolstered by a six-layer system that lets you really land on the perfect design. It looks a little bit overwhelming, more so because of its depth rather how the options are presented – but creative players will certainly have a lot of fun with it.
It’s worth pointing out that not all of these options will be available from the off. BioWare specifically mentioned this on the stream, but decided to table the discussion of how to unlock the various options for a later time. EA previously confirmed that Anthem will feature cosmetic microtransactions, so it’s not hard to imagine some of these shades being locked behind that.
