Some Fallout 76 achievements won't unlock for beta players until they create a new character

Now that Fallout 76 has officially gone live, one particular question about beta progression remained unanswered - until now.

Players who participated in the Fallout 76 beta were promised to see their progress carry over to the launch version. This remains true, but players wanted to know if the same can be done with Achievements/Trophies unlocked during the beta.

The answer is a slightly more complicated than you'd hope. Bethesda's Pete Hines clarified on Twitter that certain Achievements/Trophies should automatically unlock in the full version, but not others.

Achievements that require finishing a quest (such as leaving the Vault), will unfortunately not unlock automatically. You'll have to create a new character and re-do the required quest/feat etc. to get them.

As for achievements that rely on crafting weapons or building a camp, those should automatically unlock, assuming of course you already did this in beta.

This is certainly going to be disappointing for some players, especially those who made significant progress in the beta. But, if you care about Achievements/Trophies, you're going to have to do the work once again for some of them.
