Warcraft 3: Reforged is a remake of Warcraft 3 "in the truest sense," and out next year

Warcraft 3 is being more than remastered  - it's be remade from the ground up and dubbed Warcraft 3: Reforged.

Blizzard fully revealed Warcraft 3: Reforged at BlizzCon 2018 today, and its a Warcraft 3 remake "in the truest sense."

It includes the Frozen Throne and along with the visual overhaul, it will add a "suite of contemporary social and matchmaking features," through Battle.net.  This includes a new matchmaker for traditional player combat or custom games.

Blizzard said every character, structure, and environment has been recreated and spans all 60 campaign missions. Players can also expect four hours of updated in-game cutscenes and rerecorded voice-overs.

One of the best bits is it will also feature an upgraded World Editor. It comes with new tools and features, allowing users to create  custom maps .

Warcraft 3: Reforged will be released in 2019, and the standard edition can be pre-purchased today for $29.99.

There's also the Spoils of War Edition for $39.99 and it includes unique skins for four of the game’s hero units. This edition also offers in-game bonuses for a number of other Blizzard games, such as a Meat Wagon mount World of Warcraft.

Warcraft 3: Reforged is playable on the show floor at BlizzCon 2018, and we'll more for you as it comes out of the event.
