Thronebreaker is set in the world of The Witcher, and is a narrative-driven, single-player, exploration-RPG with featuring puzzles and card battle mechanics.

The CD Projekt Red game tells the tale of Meve, a “war-veteran queen” of Lyria and Rivia. The Northern Realms are on the verge of being invaded by Nilfgaardian forces, forcing Meve to once take to the battlefield.

In Thronebreaker, players will explore new and never-before-seen parts of The Witcher world, as they go on quests and meet many different characters in the process. They will also be tasked with gathering resources to expand their army and engage in “epic story battles.”

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, is a new spin-off of The Witcher’s card game Gwent, mixed with isometric RPG gameplay. Here’s more information if you need it.

It releases October 23 for PC and on December 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
