Life is Strange 2 review round-up, all the scores

The first episode of Life is Strange 2 drops on September 27, and the early reviews are out.

Dontnod’s latest narrative adventure - again published by Square Enix - follows the story of Sean and Daniel Diaz, who run away and take to the road after falling into trouble with the police.

Lots of players connected deeply with Max and Chloe in the first two Life is Strange Games, and this looks to be similarly stirring stuff - the brothers are just 16 and 9 years old, so expect a plot brimming with the themes of coming-of-age and family.

As well as new characters to meet and places to see, Life is Strange 2’s upgraded engine makes for stronger and more realistic-looking animations. This is a big plus if the visual style was a barrier to you enjoying the series so far, but you can judge for yourself in the launch trailer embedded below:

Better yet, you can get a taste of Life is Strange 2 itself by downloading the free tie-in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Not only does it divulge a bit of backstory and feature a brief cameo from the brothers Diaz, but choices from the demo carry over to the main game - making it the perfect primer.
