New Breath of the Wild glitch uncovers an undiscovered area with boiling water and ghostly cubes

Breath of the Wild, the latest adventure in The Legend of Zelda franchise, still has many undiscovered areas to explore it seems.

Ryan Craddock of Nintendo Life revealed yesterday that YouTube user Mety333 discovered a new glitch that lets you explore a very different path with Link within the Hyrule universe.

By exploiting a glitch during The Masters Trials DLC, Mety333 discovered he was able to explore new areas of the game that hadn’t been reported on.

Whilst obviously unintended for a mainstream audience, it boasts some bizarre yet fascinating features, such as water turning into lava that’s definitely going to boil you alive and Ghost Hunters-esque cubes of light swirling around. There’s also a terrifying drop that seems to represent the “edge” of the game world which we wouldn't recommend jumping off of.

It seems that the developers used this area as a handy hub to store the various levels in the Trial of the Sword challenge, but it makes for an interesting yet creepy version of the game. If you enjoyed the challenge, then perhaps this glitch is worth checking out!
