The Cloud Remote for PS4 is exactly what it sounds like

A new PlayStation 4 remote that works with the cloud has been announced.

Performance Designed Products and Sony are offing PS4 users a new way to control the console and attached devices. It's called the Cloud Remote.

It's a bit of a pain to have all of those remotes lying around in the living room, after all. Especially if you have two which look almost identical and get them mixed up all the time. One remote that can do the job is always a plus.

According to the announcement, the Cloud Remote for PS4 programs everything for you though a downloadable PDP Cloud Remote App. The app will then allow the remote to auto-detect devices connected to the PS4. Sounds easy enough.

It can then control the power, input, and volume for TVs, and it easily connects to the PS4 system through Bluetooth. It even features dedicated PS4 buttons.

Those who purchase the Cloud Remote at GameStop or Amazon will receive a 30-day free trial of PlayStation Vue Core plan as a purchase incentive. The 30-day trial is for the $49.99 tier which offers 65 channels of live TV.

The Cloud Remote for PS4 will be available for $29.99. It's available for pre-order through PDP’s website, GameStop and Amazon.
