Prince of Persia, Sine Mora, Earth Defense Force 2025 now playable on Xbox One

Three new games have joined the ever-lively list of Xbox 360 games compatible with Xbox One.

Backwards compatibility continues to be one of Xbox One's greatest features, and this week's haul is pretty special. The 2008 Prince of Persia reboot, the cel shaded adventure starring a new cast of heroes, which never got a sequel, is now playable on Xbox One.

Then we have Sine Mora, the classic Xbox 360 release. Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, Sine Mora is one of the best side-scrolling shooters of any generation (and it's been on a few).

An enhanced port, Sine Mora EX, was released last year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but it's great that owners of the Xbox 360 original can play it today on Xbox One.

Finally, the trio is rounded up by another niche game: Earth Defense Force 2025. Earth Defense Force games are known for absolutely ridiculous gameplay that often performs badly on most consoles. It'd be interesting to see if the power of Xbox One X will be enough to get a solid frame-rate.

As ever, if you own any of these games you can simply insert the disc, or load up your digital copy if it was bought on Xbox Live. All three games are also available for purchase for those who do not own them.
