Monster Hunter World: Where to find the secret Poogie costumes - White Jammies, Hog in a Frog and Emperor's New Duds

Did you know that you can dress up everyone’s favourite Monster Hunter World pig, Poogie, in secret costumes? And now that World is available on Steam, PC players can join in the fun. If you’ve ever wanted to swaddle a pig in sheep’s clothing or a little frog outfit, now’s your chance - there’s even a crown.

Poogie usually wanders around the main marketplace area of Astera. Sometimes Poogie gets special event costumes too - like the Buzzy Bee for the Spring Blossom event - but we'll stick to the basic costumes that everyone can find.

After you’ve petted Poogie enough times between quests to befriend him, you can start to pick him up and carry him around. While you’re doing this, when you’re near an item he can discover, your controller will start to vibrate. Put him down, and he’ll dig up an item for you - sometimes, these are costumes.

You can only collect one costume at a time between doing quests, so find your favourite, head out on a hunt, then get find the next one when you get back.

We’ve embedded a video where Arekkz shows you the exact locations of each costume below:

The White Jammies are by the Smart Biologist. Carry Poogie to the large fossilised stone slab in the corner, set him down, and he’ll dig up the costume.

The Hog in a Frog costume is by the Laid-back Botanist. Put Poogie down next to the Scoutfly lamp on the right and he’ll find the costume.

The Apprentice Fiver costume is near the Commander’s table. Place Poogie in front of the white flag next to the Huntsman and he’ll snuffle out some new clothes.

Finally, the Emperor’s New Duds are located behind the workshop. Go in through the door, up the stairs on the left and out the back up to the viewing platform. Put Poogie down in the centre of the platform and he’ll dig up the last costume.

There are tons of hidden items in Monster Hunter World, not just Poogie costumes. Crafting materials like Coral Crystal, Warped Bones and Wingdrake Hide can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look.

You can also get special materials from quests too, like the Watcher Palico set from the Horizon Zero Dawn crossover event.
