Fortnite Playground mode returns this week

The highly popular Fortnite Playground mode will return alongside the upcoming 5.10 patch.

When Epic Games took down Fortnite's Playground LTM earlier this month, it made two things clear: the gameplay mode would return, and it would eventually be permanent. We have no idea when the second point will happen, but Playground will be back much sooner than you think.

Fortnite confirmed via its Twitter account that Playground Mode will return on July 25 with upgraded features. Specifically, Playground will come with new team select options, an ATK vehicle, and "lots more loot".

If you missed the fuss last time around, Playground mode is a sandbox mode that increases the amount resources so players can build more elaborate structures. Even within a limited timeframe, the community crafted all kinds of impressive feats.

It seems Playground is just one feature Epic Games will roll out for the 5.10 patch. As reported by Polygon, Slurp Juice will now prioritize health damage before distributing any remaining points to your shields.

The full list of changes will be available from the patch notes once 5.10 is live. Stay tuned for more details!
